I used to sell my work in Williamsburg every weekend and would ride the L train to Bedford Ave. These bikes were permanently locked outside the Bedford Ave. station. With the crowds and those bikes sometimes it was impossible to get past them. So annoyed was I that I just had to photograph them and find some beauty in them.
